M.S.M. is a naturally occurring organic source of biologically
available nutritional sulphur. M.S.M. is found in all living organisms
and is present in our body fluids and tissues, and is said to reduce
inflammation, improve joint mobility and maintain the integrity
of lung tissue. It is found in most green plant foodstuffs and algaes,
and a variety of fruits, vegetables and grains in small amounts
and is destroyed with dehydration and heat.
MSM is the transport molecule for elemental sulphur or assimilable
source of essential sulphur which is required for proper assimilation
of alpha amino acids Methionine and Cysteine. Proper protein synthesis
can only be achieved with M.S.M. monomers that maintain the correct
molecular framework for soft and connective tissue throughout the
body. M.S.M. contributes sulphur to the disulphide bonds that are
essential for the proper conformation of hair, nails and connective
tissue. Even hormones and antibodies receive sulphur from M.S.M.
